Pay for your vehicle purchase with cryptocurrency

Please note, this is not an available option for all vehicles and brands.

Overview

Cryptocurrency payment lets you complete your vehicle purchase using crypto through Stripe's secure payment platform. When you select this option, you are redirected to Stripe to complete your payment — no card details or bank information needed at checkout.

How It Works

Full Payment Only

Cryptocurrency is a full-payment method: it covers the entire remaining balance of your order, cannot be split with other payment methods, and is applied at checkout when you select "Pay with Crypto."

Redirect-Based Flow

Unlike credit card payments, crypto uses a redirect: no card or bank details are entered during checkout, you are redirected to Stripe's hosted crypto payment page after placing your order, Stripe handles the cryptocurrency transaction securely, and you are returned to the checkout experience after payment.

Purchase Limits

Cryptocurrency payments have transaction limits:

  • Minimum: $0.50

  • Maximum: $50,000

If your order total falls outside this range, crypto will not be available.

  2. Place Your Order

  3. Complete Payment on Stripe

Troubleshooting & FAQ

When can I use cryptocurrency for payment?

Cryptocurrency is available when the seller has enabled crypto payments, your order total is between $0.50 and $50,000, and you are paying the full remaining balance at checkout. If the crypto option does not appear, your order may fall outside the supported range or the seller may not have enabled it.

Why was I redirected to another page?

Cryptocurrency payments are processed through Stripe's hosted payment page. This is normal — after you click the place order button, Stripe handles the crypto transaction on their secure platform. You will be returned to the checkout experience once the payment is complete.

What happens if my crypto payment fails?

You will see a notification in your buyer portal explaining the issue. You can retry the payment from your buyer portal. Your order status returns to pending payment until the issue is resolved. Common reasons for failure include insufficient funds or an expired payment session.

Are there fees for paying with crypto?

Fees depend on the seller's configuration. Some sellers absorb processing costs, while others may pass fees to the buyer. Any applicable fees are disclosed during checkout before you confirm payment.

Is my payment secure?

Yes. Cryptocurrency payments are processed through Stripe, a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor. Your transaction is handled entirely on Stripe's secure platform.

Can I use crypto for a reservation or pre-order deposit?

No. Cryptocurrency is only available for full remaining balance payments at checkout. Reservation and pre-order deposits use other payment methods like credit card or ACH.

Which cryptocurrencies are accepted?

Accepted cryptocurrencies are determined by Stripe's crypto payment support. The available options are displayed on the Stripe payment page after you are redirected.
