For automated titling and registration, Ekho will generate and process all the necessary state-required paperwork for your vehicle with the DMV, meaning no trips to the DMV are necessary. For assisted titling and registration, Ekho will provide the basic paperwork (Bill of Sale and Manufacturer’s Statement of Origin) so you can visit the DMV to complete the process yourself.

Ekho provides this service at cost. The high price difference between automated and assisted is due to Ekho collecting and remitting sales tax and registration fees that must be paid to the DMV at time of registration.

Ekho does not currently allow customers to switch after placing an order as there are many downstream implications of doing so. However, if you are eligible for a refund, you can place a new order with the desired option. However, please do note this may delay production and delivery.

There could be many reasons you’re blocked at the paperwork section, including missing vehicle information from the production team, awaiting a wire transfer to be processed, etc. Rest assured, you will receive an email once your paperwork section is ready.

If you have already sent in all the relevant paperwork, Ekho is processing the documents with the DMV as fast as possible. However, there may be delays at the DMV that Ekho can not predict. Please reach out to Ekho support if you would like to have a more detailed status of your title and registration.

Absolutely. For all road legal vehicles, Ekho will email you a copy of a temporary registration tag that lasts up to 90 days once the vehicle is shipped or nearing delivery.
