In-Person Order

Request to purchase a vehicle and complete the transaction in person

Overview

An in-person order lets you browse vehicles online and submit a purchase request, but you must visit in person to complete the transaction. This option is for buyers who prefer traditional in-person purchasing or for vehicles that require an in-person visit to finalize.

How it works

With in-person orders, you can browse available inventory online, select the vehicle you're interested in, submit your contact information and purchase interest, get contacted to schedule a visit, and then complete your purchase in person.

Used vehicles and state eligibility

For some used vehicles, online purchasing may not be available in your state. When this applies, checkout automatically shows only the Buy in person at a dealership option. Other payment methods are not available for that vehicle.

How to Place an In-Person Order

  1. Select Your Vehicle
Browse online inventory and select a vehicle marked as available for in-person purchase. Vehicles requiring in-person purchase will not show up when filtering for online enabled vehicles.

  2. Submit Purchase Request
Provide your contact information and express interest in purchasing the vehicle. Your information is sent as a purchase inquiry.

  3. Visit In Person
You'll be contacted to schedule a visit where you complete the purchase in person.

Troubleshooting & FAQ

Why can't I purchase this vehicle online?

This vehicle requires an in-person purchase. Vehicles may require in-person purchase for various reasons, such as: the seller has configured the vehicle for showroom-only sales, your registration state does not currently support online used vehicle sales from this dealership, or certain seller-state and buyer-state combinations require an in-person transaction.

Do I have to buy the vehicle once I submit a request?

No. Submitting an in-person purchase request is an expression of interest, not a binding commitment. It's an inquiry to start conversation and a way to schedule an in-person visit. You're under no obligation to purchase.

Will the vehicle be held for me?

Unlike reservations, in-person order requests typically do not hold the vehicle. The vehicle may be purchased by another buyer before you visit. Reach out quickly if you're seriously interested.

Can I negotiate the price for an in-person order?

Yes. It's possible to negotiate terms online or over the phone before visiting in person. You can discuss price negotiation, trade-in options, financing comparisons, and additional terms. If you reach an agreement, you may be able to complete your purchase online without visiting in person.

How quickly will I be contacted?

Most purchase inquiries receive a response within the same business day or within 24 hours. If you don't hear back promptly, contact directly using the provided contact information.
